Ragusa graduatedSumma Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics and an appointment to Phi Beta Phi honor society. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University.
She worked for 20 years at Manchester Memorial Hospital as the outpatient dietitian. It was during this employment when she decided to do graduate work in counseling, because many of her clients were presenting with emotional blocks to changing their eating patterns.
As a therapist, she has been in private practice for 15 years. Her education, along with professional experiences, enable Ragusa to provide guidance for many transitional concerns individuals encounter throughout their lives, such as retiring, marrying, dealing with their own illness or that of a family member, managing children going off to college, having a child, coming into an inheritance, moving, changing jobs, losing a job, selling a business, divorcing, stressing over job demands, needing to change dietary habits, and grieving.
Ragusa is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Dietetics Association, the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce, and the Collaborative Professionals of Connecticut.
"I believe when people are experiencing transitions, it is a great opportunity for growth. My goal is to help Clients transition into a successful future, and discover new strengths and gifts."
